PUBLICATION ETHICS

The scientific and technical journal “Engineering and Construction Bulletin of the Caspian Region” assumes obligations to observe the ethical standards supported by the international scientific community and to prevent any violations of the above norms. From the point of view of the editorial board, such a policy is a necessary and only condition for fruitful participation of the publication in the formation and development of an integrated system of scientific knowledge.

In particular, the activity of preparing the journal for publication is based on the recommendations of the Committee on the Ethics of Scientific Publications (Committee of Publication Ethics, SORE), takes into account the experience of reputable international journals and publishing houses, as well as established ethical traditions of Russian scientific periodicals. The Editorial Board of the Caspian Region magazine builds its work in accordance with the ethical standards of editors and publishers set forth in the Code of Conduct and Best Practice Guidelines for the Journal Editors.

Responsibilities of the Editorial Board:

  • peer review of submitted articles and making decisions about the possibility of their publication;
  • ensuring confidentiality, honesty and impartiality of reviewing;
  • participation in the consideration of complaints about ethical violations in accordance with the principles of cooperation and compliance with publication ethics.

Reviewer Responsibilities:

  • assisting the editorial board in deciding on the possibility / impossibility of publishing articles;
  • an objective, professional, impartial evaluation of copyright materials in terms of compliance with the topics and profile of the publication, the current level of development of theoretical and applied science, compliance with the requirements of the journal to the volume and rules of articles;
  • identification of obvious and hidden borrowings, repetitions, any significant coincidences with previously published works;
  • detailed, timely and objective motivation of the decisions made;
  • full confidentiality.

Responsibilities of the authors:

  • ensuring (if necessary) access to the source data and materials used in the preparation of the article;
  • recognition of the impossibility and unethical nature of any forms of plagiarism, multiple or redundant publications of the same results;
  • citing significant publications that influenced the submitted work;
  • disclosure of any conflicts of interest that may affect the research results;
  • an immediate report on the detection of critical errors in published works with the aim of removing or correcting them
